Several things to share this month.
On a personal note, I’m going to have a CT on my heart in late August to see if the blood clot is still there. I’ve been taking the blood thinner Eliquis at $446.41 a month which my health insurance doesn’t cover (but gives a 5% discount so ‘only’ $446.41 lol), and with 1 other medication it adds up to over $600/month. That has made it hard on us financially, but I’m feeling ok and the Father has timed finances perfectly. Trusting the clot is dissolved. In September I’ll meet with the cardiologist to learn the results of the CT and set a plan to take care of the AFib.
Prophetic update, US but affecting the world – In light of the current political and cultural things happening in the US, I’ve continued contemplating what the Father said a couple years ago; “The collapse will come when conservatives are in charge.” So that has made me wonder about the mid-term elections in November. About 3 weeks ago I was asking Him if He had any update, or if things had changed. He didn’t say anything about the elections coming in November, but He added this:
“Persecution and a big change in the culture of the country are soon coming, which even now you see gaining ground around you. As I told you before, the spirit of socialism can be delayed, but it won’t be stopped. When it comes it will be like the water of Medano Creek.”
(Some of you who have followed us for a long time will remember this that I shared then. In 2004 when Senator Kerry ran against President Bush in that Presidential race there was a different feel to the Democratic party and I had asked the Father what I was sensing. He said at that time: “It is the spirit of socialism. It can be delayed but it won’t be stopped.” When I asked where it (that spirit) came from and He replied: “It’s from Europe, and there are many in this nation who want it to be like Europe. But that’s not what I’ve called this country to be.”)
Medano Creek is in Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, and when our boys were young we used to go there, so I understood His reference that when it comes it will be like the water of Medano Creek. It is one of only a very few creeks in the world with a particular characteristic, which is that it creates waves of ‘surge flows’ straight downstream due to a sandy creek bottom.
The sandy creek bottom piles up underwater walls of sand due to the current of water. Water backs up against the wall of sand under the water until the force of the water is too much and it collapses, which releases a sudden wave surge downstream: Not side-ways against the shore like in the ocean or lake, but a wave of water going straight downstream.
Being dependent on snow melt, the creek usually dries up by early July, but the peak flow in May can send ice cold walls of water 1 and even 2 feet high rushing downstream. (30-60cm) – I’ve nearly been knocked off my feet by it. By mid to late June the flow is such that the surge waves are mere inches and small children delight in floating length-wise down the creek. Right now things unseen are holding back persecution against conservatives and Christians, who will one day get the blame for the nation’s ills. There is coming a day the ‘underwater wall’ holding it will not be able to keep back the flow any longer. When it comes it will be like those waters – flowing downstream – His parable shows us the downstream flow touches everything in its path – all aspects of society in His parable. No fear, just being aware of the times.
I would add the flip side to it, which was that He said in those days those who walked with Him and in His ways “Will walk as giants in the land, prospering and in favor with man.” Those are the days many will look to the mature, stable, Christians for guidance and help, for we will be at peace and in provision while others are in fear – focus on that!
Remember that according to Revelation 11: 18 one of the marks of the last years of this age are that the nations are angry – that doesn’t happen overnight but builds over years, so we can see the first elements in our time. Nations aren’t angry directly, it is the people that form nations that fuel the anger. Look for anger in the US & world to continue to increase, words of personal attacks, escalating to violent attacks against groups here and there.
And remember that Jesus said because iniquity will abound the love of many will ‘wax’ or turn cold. It is interesting the word used here for ‘will turn cold’ is one word meaning “to blow across something to cool it.” It indicates a ‘wind’ or we might say ‘wave’ blowing across people that will turn their love cold, and that wave is iniquity – iniquity is different than sin in that sin is a singular thing, whereas iniquity is a lifestyle of sin, a pattern of behavior of a life of sin.
Look for the increased glorifying of iniquity, lifestyles of sin. Love growing cold includes an inability to make allowances for others who see things or believe things differently than they do. But remember, if you walk with Him in maturity and in His ways, you’ll be as a giant among others…
Ministry– the network continues to grow, and we are getting into web conferencing to gather several people online at once for teaching and problem solving and just getting to know one another. We are having one on the 29th for those in Australia (11am the 29th, Sydney time if any other Aussies are interested – email me directly if so at cwowi@aol.com). Other live video meetings for people around the world by time zones will be held soon. Stay tuned.
Travel wise I’ll be in Osawatomie, Kansas the first weekend of August teaching on ‘Supernatural relationships”, and in October is our Tulsa conference. In between I’ll have medical tests and appointments and we’ll go from there.
EU and Wil and Ank in the Netherlands- Barb and I continue to be amazed at how busy and giving Wil and Ank are. They oversee and coordinate and host all over the EU and UK. I was overwhelmed just listening to all they are doing in the ministry and so asked for a list, and learned this since March 2017 when they moved into their larger ‘ministry house’:
March 2017 – hosted folks from Lithuania, May from Finland, then our May conference. June saw others from Finland, July a an American ministering in Kenya passing through who stayed with them. July they hosted folks from Sweden, September to London to visit leaders there, November to Norway! In between all that were numerous trips around the Netherlands visiting individuals and house churches, strengthening the body of Christ. That was just 2017.
January and February this year they had various travels in the Netherlands, March hosted about 14 people for a day and also hosted a leader from Germany for a couple days. Also in that time a leader from Turkey came. May saw hosting leaders from Austria and Germany and then our conference – which included hosting about 15 of us or so after the conference for a few days! June leaders from Norway came, followed by leaders from Belgium – upcoming trips to Finland and Lithuania are coming in August/September.
Whew! That makes me tired just thinking about all the hosting and traveling they do. They charge nothing for all that hosting, though gifts are welcome – can you imagine opening your home to visitors like that? Plus their travels! For those of you in the EU, UK, and especially the Netherlands – they are worthy and needing of financial support – consider including them in monthly giving, or one time of course or from time to time giving is always welcome – but they are doing the work of the ministry continually. We support them monthly so I’m not asking anything we don’t do – thanks. Join with us. They didn’t ask me to say anything, this is just from my heart to you on the matter, they give and help people so much.
For Barb and I personally – You have no idea how much your donations to cwowi and the occasional personal gifts mean to us. Whether monthly or every so often, or even one time, scripture says those gifts are a joining with us in the ministry to the saints, and that is so true. You are part of us and we of you – and I do pray over those prayer requests though I cannot always respond, know that those requests are faithfully and regularly lifted in prayer, as is each one who gives whether they ask for prayer or not. You are appreciated.
Paul said of giving in II Corinthians 8: 4-5, that a person is to give themselves first to the Lord, and then to us in ministry – and we take that responsibility very seriously, and know we are trustworthy with God’s gifts to us through you. Thank you!
