We are just back from our New England conference, which was wonderful, enriching, exciting…so good!
That ends our travels for the year, and now we can start demolishing and rebuilding from the storm nearly 2 months ago. Thank you for those who have donated to make up the difference between insurance and our needs – you have truly filled in the gaps and have enabled us to start the rebuild process. Thank you!
The first order of business will be to pour the sidewalk/pad for ease of getting Chris in and out of the house which was planned before the storm, and some of you donated to – thank you! We can finally start on this
We will include building a new wheelchair ramp and covered porch/entry to the front door to replace the one built in 1993 that came with the house. Then we’ll demolish the deck which is on the other side of the house, and rebuild the new one with wheelchair ramp so Chris can enjoy and go in/out that door, and so on – again, thank you! We are SO looking forward to starting this.

God is setting the hook
Ezekiel 38:4 describes a time when modern Russia, Turkey, Iran, and others will align themselves against Israel and what we would call moderate Arab nations. God says He will put a ‘hook in the jaw’ of Russia and draw it in to the Middle East. A hook indicates being drawn into a conflict is not their first choice, but are doing so because they are being pulled in as a fish on a hook.
God says in v10-12 that while (Russia) is in the region, a thought will come into his head thinking he can take a spoil, it would be easy since all the military is in place, to take Israel. God says they will amass their forces first, then come ‘as a cloud to cover the land’, which would seem to indicate air forces heavily involved.
This is where we are in the process so don’t let others scare you into thinking something is imminent. This is just the hook being placed. If anything, I would look for more Russian forces along with Turkey and Iran to occupy Syria and the region, as a prelude to a build up to try to take Israel.
This is what is happening now with the US withdraw from Syria. This amassing of forces in preparation could not happen with the US being heavily present in the region. So US withdrawal sets the stage that God may ‘set the hook’ that Russia may become more deeply involved.
Look for them to step up to organize their allies. The Lord had told me back in January that Russia would soon become apparent peacemakers in the region, but would in fact in that time be working behind the scenes to organize an eventual invasion. It will be interesting to watch Russia as a powerbroker in the Middle East. There will be a period of calm first.
There can be no invasion from the north as Ezekiel describes it until Syria, which borders part of Israel’s north border, is at peace. Russia and allies would not invade unless and until that nation is enough in order to handle a massive invasion and the preparation that must occur first. Spoiler alert; Israel wins.
Ezekiel 39 describes it taking 7 months for Israel to bury the dead invaders, and that they will hire people to set flags by body parts that they may be collected and buried. It says they will have a 7 year supply from the spoil from the battle. This is not Armageddon, which occurs at least 7 years later and culminates in the return of the Lord. The Ezekiel 38-39 battle is before – I have a couple cd/MP3 series on the subject as well.
