You’ll find below some information about our conferences in Tulsa in October and the Netherlands in May which are also on the header above, but first I wanted to address from the Word the crazy frenzy asking if we are headed into WW3.
The sheer craziness of it all has prompted me to re-do this e-newsletter to address these things. People need the truth of the Word and Spirit in balance.
First though – I get at least 10 links a day from people asking me to ‘watch this’ and comment – and as a policy and with very few exceptions, I do not watch any links anyone sends me because if I did so it would be a full day, each and every day. So don’t bother please, lol. Just summarize in a paragraph what someone says and I can better respond that way.
What Ezekiel 38 says, a short review
The first thing to note is that WW3 is not initiated by the US reacting to something Iran does.
Ezekiel 38: 1-7 states that God is against God, the ruler in the land of Magog, which is widely accepted but for a few people, to be modern Russia. Ezekiel says he will come from the north to attack Israel, along with other forces from different nations.
God says He is against that ruler, and that Magog will become a guard over the following nations: Persia (which could be Iran alone or Iran/Iraq, modern Turkey, Libya, Ethiopia (in our day northern Sudan).
A note – the name ‘Gomer’ is also mentioned with these nations. ‘Gomer’ means ‘the whole family together’, signifying an alliance like a family between these nations – united by a common purpose in this case, the destruction of Israel. So geographically, the mention of Gomer would mean additional nations not specifically mentioned by name, but who are of the same ‘family’, as Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and North Sudan.
God also says in v4 He will ‘put hooks into your jaws’ to draw (Russia) into the Middle East resulting in the leader of Russia to think as outlined in v10-12, “At that time a thought will come into your mind, an evil thought, ‘I will go to the land of unwalled villages (Israel)….to take a spoil, to take them prey…”
That Russia has been drawn into the Middle East is plainly seen. This past week Turkey agreed to send troops to Libya to quell the civil war, backed by Russia, which further cements Libya’s place in Ezekiel 38.
The stage is being set, but the action is not yet.
My experience has been the fulfillment of prophecy comes in bits and pieces which don’t always make headlines. The news of Turkey legalizing action to send their troops to Libya to stop the civil war, along with Russia, was a mere mention on one day, then it was gone. But it is a vital piece of the puzzle.
The shooting down of an airliner and unrest in Iran is front and center, but it doesn’t change the fact that Ezekiel says Russia will be drawn into the Middle East to attack Israel – so if you’re looking for anything in the news, look for the pieces of the puzzle that will lead up to that event. It will be initiated from the north, by Russia and allies. NOT by friction between the US and Iran. That friction is part of the puzzle picture, but it doesn’t complete it.
The one area of interest to me is that those nations will think taking Israel will be relatively easy, and will gather a huge army to do so. I wonder why they would think it would be a lesser risk to do so at that time?
Ezekiel 38: 9 and again v16 says, ‘You will ascend like a cloud to cover the land’. That could easily mean a huge Air Force gathered against Israel (and her allies). So look for troops and air forces gathering closer to Israel, probably staged in Turkey and/or northern Syria.
The good news is that not only do Israel and her allies win, but Ezekiel 38: 20-23 tells us God Himself will defend Israel by 3 main things: An earthquake, confusion of their language and communication, and overflowing rain and hail, so that the invading armies will to a large degree destroy themselves.
Israel it says in 39:12, will require 7 months to bury the dead and will be left with 7 years of supplies, the spoils of war, as a result of their victory.
So watch, pray, but be at peace, know the Word, and refuse to be part of the near hysteria out there which is based on fear and ignorance.
What’s happened with John and Barb
We’ve poured a concrete slab for a garage, which will enable us to roll Chris and his wheelchair onto something solid when transferring from car to home or vice versa. That also include a mud room/laundry room so we can deal with clothing and such in the transition.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas he had a rather messy ‘accident’ while in the car and wheelchair, an intestinal ‘bug’ – enough said but you get the idea – what a mess. But it happens from time to time, so this is vital to his care and a huge help to us. There is a need for framing and roof and such, but we are thankful for what we have thus far.
Thank you to those who have helped us, we are so blessed and humbled, and thanks for anyone future who wants to help with that. Chris turned 40 just before Christmas, but still that happy-go-lucky mental 4 year old – many of you know what it is to care for someone handicapped or with intense physical needs. Thanks for your prayers.
National Conference
Our national conference this year is October 8-11 (Thursday-Sunday) we will be having it in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, a suburb of Tulsa. It will be held at the Stony Creek Hotel & Conference Center. Information is on our web site and on our weekly mailings.
We hold national conferences every other year, with regional meetings in the off year. So this is our ‘on’ year for just 1 big conference. When we gather it is an investment rather than expense, for the dividends reaped are truly rich in the Lord. They are seen in what He does in us, and in the connections made with people from all over the US and beyond, and the move of His Spirit in our midst. Please consider an autumn visit to Tulsa! Space will be limited so that we can maintain the intimacy of a relatively smaller group as well as being able to linger in the Lord’s presence and let the Spirit flow as He wishes.

These gatherings are always amazing weekend retreats, relaxing, rich in the Spirit, with instant friends and the renewed friendships. It is amazing how we all just pick up where we left off last year or become instant friends like we’ve known each other all our lives.
Barb and I are happy to see 2019 in the rearview mirror as I know many of you are, and are excited to see all the things the Lord will do this year. The sense in our spirit is that of rising momentum and fulfillment in the Lord and what He is doing – a year of blessing and peace in the Lord.
It is also a time of transition in the Spirit with things happening both personally, nationally, and internationally which will lay the ground work for future events – we are so thankful for your prayers, your giving, and just including us in your lives. Praying for you!
