Hi all,
There is a lot to share this month.
US conferences
You can see above we are opening registration for our one of our Tulsa conferences next year. They are June 29-30 and November 2-3. We are keeping costs very small, just covering our conference room rental and incidentals, and leaving food and lodging up to our attendees.
Also, because so many are interested in teaching and a Q&A time with John, we will devote Saturday of each conference to general teaching and sharing. Sunday will be teaching and Q&A about house church. This gives attendees the option of just coming in for one day, or staying for both.
Netherlands CWOWI conference/retreat
I want to mention our conference in the Netherlands May 2-5. The cost is 275 euros per person (about $300 USD) and includes 3 nights lodging (2-4 May) and meals. Again, that is quite a bargain. It is at a wonderful retreat center in the countryside near Helvoirt, a beautiful area. For outside the EU, Amsterdam is your ‘port of entry’, and within the EU or Nordics, Eindhoven is conveniently near the retreat center.
We eat meals together with lots of time to get to know one another. In the past we have had as many as 15 nations represented, so it’s a great way to get to know others in the CWOWI network.
The Netherlands is easy to get around and there is much to see. Many people coming from the US and UK especially, find staying over a few days to see some sites a wonderful way to cap off a great retreat and trip to Europe. Email Wil and Ank at: cwowi@solcon.nl
KWOWI – Kids Without Walls International
Currently, there are 98 sponsored kids in Kenya, and 127 sponsored kids in Uganda. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to sponsored a KWOWI child!
11 year old Gloria, in Uganda, recently shared her testimony of sponsorship. She used to live at home with her single mother. She often went to bed hungry and couldn’t bathe properly due to lack of access to clean water. After seeing the conditions she lived in, Edward and her mother arranged for her to come stay at the school full time. Now living at school she eats breakfast, lunch, and supper. She says, “I feel very happy in my heart. I like to keep laughing with a smile in my heart and thank God for changing my life.”
I want to add there is usually a big Christmas party for the children that involves food and presents. If you’d like to help either in Uganda, Kenya or both, just put a note on your KWOWI or CWOWI donation. Thank you!
Is this the Ezekiel 38 war?
Many are wondering if the Hamas/Israel war is the start of the Ezekiel 38 war.
I have done 2 Wednesday videos on the subject in our Super House Church channel on YouTube, on the 11th and 18th if you’re interested. I also did an audio teaching about WW3, the Ezekiel 38 war, available in our bookstore.
The Ezekiel 38 war is marked by several very specific things that this current war doesn’t have, at least not yet.
Main points: The war of Ezekiel 38 and 39
That war is marked by Russia becoming involved, who, along with allies Ezekiel names, invades Israel. Ezekiel names the modern nations of Iran (Persia) and Turkey (Togarmah) as part of a massive invasion force. Also Libya, and Ethiopia. Ethiopia in his time covered the area of Northern Sudan and part of north Ethiopia.
In 38: 7 it says Russia will ‘be a guard to them’, meaning the supplier of weapons and main ally. A guard for those nations. That is the situation today, so that fits.
Ezekiel 38: 4 says of Russia (Magog) that God will: “…turn you around, and put hooks into your jaws and bring you forth’…into the battle, because He is against them.
Notice; ‘turn you around’…
…indicates before the Ezekiel 38 war, Russia will first be withdrawing from involvement in the Middle East. We could say that meets the condition now, being preoccupied with Ukraine.
Then they get ‘hooked’, and are drawn back into the Middle East. Do we see them focused elsewhere? Yes. They have suffered massive losses in Ukraine, so they would need a ‘hook’, to draw them back into the Middle East. They would also need strong allies because in current form, Russia has depleted much of their forces, or had them destroyed in the Ukraine war.
With massive losses in Ukraine
Russia will need years to replenish. The only way to invade Israel under current conditions, would be to depend more on its allies than its own military. Do they have the will to do so?
Ezekiel goes on to state in v11-13 that Israel will be at that time living in safety and peace. It says the Russian leader will think an evil thought, to attack Israel and take a spoil, take a prey. That seems to say Israel will be relaxed and they think with an overwhelming force, that they can’t lose. When we look at the current war, we could speculate the enemy allies might think Israel has been so focused on the war primarily in the south, it would be vulnerable from the north.
We don’t see that developing yet…but we pray…
It also means the invading force will expect no nation to come to Israel’s aid, which is a fatal mistake. Verse 13 says, ‘Sheba and Dedan (Saudi Arabian peninsula), the ‘merchants of Tarshish’ and the ‘young lions thereof’, will at the first diplomatically object.
In the classic understanding of these nations, the merchants of Tarshish (Spain) are those nations colonized by the merchants of Spain, which would be the Americas. The young lions is understood to mean the offspring of a parent lion, Great Britain. So the nations colonized by Britain and Spain, along with Arab nations, at the least, state objections to the attack.
We might stop there and think a diplomatic objection is all that will happen. That has been the pattern of the west, with recent history establishing ‘proxy wars’ in which the west supplies a government (like Syria and Ukraine) weapons, but doesn’t get personally involved.
But the Russian coalition miscalculates
In verse 21 the Lord says “I am calling for a sword from among my mountains against…” the invading force. In prophetic literature a mountain is a nation or kingdom.
In Daniel 2: 25-45 he sees a ‘mountain cut without hands’ fall on the kingdoms of man and grows to fill the whole earth – the kingdom of God. Mount Zion represents Israel, The Revelation 17:9 describes kings and their nations as mountains, and so on.
It means the Lord is calling for all out war
Without going into a full teaching here, Israel wins. They invade from the north, there is rain and hail and confusion among the multi-lingual invasion force. There is ‘fire and brimstone’ delivered to the invade home countries. It takes 7 months for Israel to bury the dead and leaves Israel with a 7 year supply of spoils. In modern terms that would be fuel, rations, armament, etc.
So far at least, what we see happening is not that. But this all sets the stage. The Abrahamic Accords brought about by President Trump, was an important part. It was an Arab-Israeli normalization as well as a defense agreement, meant to counter the influence of Iran in the region. That Ezekiel would mention Arab nations objecting to Russia and Iran invading Israel, would not be taking place without such an agreement.
But beyond that…
I go back to what the Lord told me about back in December 2019 and January 2020, about this year and next. I’ve shared how He talked of economic and political turmoil in the ‘mid to late September, and October, through March’ of next year especially.
And in the US, that ‘as it stands now’, Harris will be (acting) President about 9 months (before the elections). Biden’s cognitive decline is playing out exactly as He said at the time. What remains is for us to pray for this time – I had mentioned He said around the holidays would be difficult for many. So we pray. Our focus is on what He is asking us to do right now, today. We pray for those affected by the war, and for Israel.
The Lord said to pray for the US, that the President not suffer a catastrophic health crisis, ‘For that would be bad for the nation.” In Matthew 24: 15 and 20 Jesus prophesied of anti-Christ coming into the temple and betraying Israel. He said to pray that it not happen in winter or on the Sabbath. That means events that are certain to happen, can have the timing of those events changed, even to the time of year and day of the week.
So we pray…
We’ve had many extra expenses this year that were recouped.
Travel to Uganda and other ministry trips, for instance. Other things as well, including developing a CWOWI app – stay tuned on that. Anything extra you can donate would be very much appreciated.
Thank you for your financial and prayer support. As Paul said as well, I am always making mention of you in my prayers.
As always, thank you for being in our lives!
Blessings,
John & Barb, Brian & Amy
