On Monday, August 26th a severe thunderstorm ripped through the Northeastern Oklahoma area snapping and uprooting hundreds of trees. John was on the other side of the country, Brian was prepping for back surgery and was Barb was home alone when the storm blew through. It almost immediately knocked out electricity to the house. One tree fell and damaged their truck while another uprooted and crushed their back deck. If that tree had fallen 10 feet to the right, it would have fallen on John and Barbs bedroom where Barb was resting during the storm. We are thankful for Gods protection.
In the aftermath, the house only suffered minor damage while the back deck, the privacy fence and the truck were impacted. Above all, “cleanup” is proving difficult due to Brian’s back surgery and Johns heart condition with insurance only helping with a portion of what is required. Thank you for your continued prayers as we look for Gods provision within this seemingly negative event.
