Edward, our house church leader in Uganda helps coordinate, connect and support a growing network of 160+ house churches in Uganda. Part of his vision is also to help the house churches through targeted poverty reduction. With this in mind, he established the “Pass on a Pig Project”. The idea is to purchase 19 females and 1 male pig for a group of house church leaders. The pigs will soon produce 150-200 piglets. Once the piglets are grown, the majority can be sold at market. Some will be kept in reserve to pass on to other house church leaders and continue the process. CWOWI has supported this project and now CWOWI Uganda has provided 40 pigs to CWOWI Uganda house church leaders.
